The internal squabbles in the family have begun and Maureen has just realised how randy this entire family can be despite the death.

Ding Dong!!! Rang the door bell, twice again it rang before Ronke opened the door.

‘Hello Mister, looking for someone?’

‘Hello ma’am, parcel delivery for Miss Maureen Uduak, is she around?’  

Ronke called out to Mau, when she finally came she signed the young man’s papers and a box was given to her and he waited whilst she opened the box, there’s a folded paper in the box, she took it and went through it, midway into reading it she started smiling.

‘Oh my God, Oh my God! Ronke! He got me a car, he got me that cute baby down there and he has instructed this young man here to bring me over in this dress.’

She flashed a beautiful dress from the box for Ronke to see

‘Uh that’s beautiful now don’t keep the young man waiting, quickly go dress up.’ Mau excused herself for a few minutes and got back all dressed up, she said goodbye to Ronke and followed the delivery man out.

The ride to meet up with Michael wasn’t long but Mau wished it stayed longer, she so much loved the interior of her Mercedes Benz C200, and she’s just as beautiful as the owner. They eventually got to the venue and she was taken to the pent house of the building, when they got to the pent house the door was opened for her and she stepped in, wow was all she could say.

The room was decorated with candle lights and rose petals from the entrance of the room to the bed. Mau couldn’t help but wonder the reason behind the celebration she was still lost in her world of thought when Mike’s voice startled her.

‘Baby’ he called out to her

‘Why are you standing down there dazed? Come right in jor’ Mau walked towards him and hugged him, surprisingly he swept her off her feet and carried her to the bedroom placed her on the bed and knelt before her.

‘Baby I know since the inception of our contract I’ve been an ass and a nymph all I cared about is the sex, I bullied and ordered you around like you are some trash I picked from the road side, I ran the whole show without letting you have a say, I’m here to say I’m sorry. From now henceforth it’s our show, we will work together to make this better.’

As Mau drove home from her outing with Mike she reminisced over everything, if truly Mike is going to keep to his word then she’s definitely going to back out of her deal with Ronke as it wouldn’t make sense dating Father and son.

Mike has actually helped her financially towards school and her family too, last time he got them a house furnished it and opened a supermarket for her mother and now she’s a proud owner of a c-class, what more can she ask for other than his respect which he has promised to give, from the look of things she is this close to being fulfilled. Yes Ronke has been a supportive friend but then she can’t bite the finger that feeds her either, Mike has been generous and if he changes like he promised and asks for her loyalty she is so giving it to him.

She got home and told Ronke how everything played out

‘he treated me like a queen and for the first time we had a heart to heart discussion without him mentioning sex.

We played like couples and I even advised him on some stuff that bothered him, I asked him about his family he said he will tell me when we go on a boat cruise tomorrow. Now the thing is if he starts getting all this mushy on me I will definitely fall for him and when I do the plan won’t work anymore.’

‘Well babes you are my friend and I want the best for you if he makes you happy fall for him, even if I don’t get retribution myself Karma will do it for me.’

With that they hugged and talked about other things. Weeks passed and just as expected Mike’s attitude towards her improved, he behaved just like the boyfriend he is. He calls her on a regular basis, takes her out for dinner even introduces her to people as his girl when on events together.

The sex reduced and the love increased, Mau topped his priority list, it was evident that they are both in love  but Mike just don’t want to admit it, according to him he doesn’t want to be treated like his father so each time he has the urge to tell her he loves her, he stylishly avoid it.

Mau kept on pressing on the question concerning his family but he told her the less she knows the better that she is in the know of everything there is to know about him for now. Their love and fondness for each other continued to blossom, one particular day Mau decided to pay him a surprise visit in his office.

She got to the said office before noon and headed for her lover’s office, she didn’t see his secretary at her position but she didn’t bulge about it, she just headed straight to his office door in excitement

‘Hello hun’ she said but the sight before her got her rooted to a spot, he was on his table and he was ramming fire strokes into her eyes closed.

She stood by the door with hot tears streaming down her cheeks

‘NO!’ she screamed, that startled Mike and he turned towards her direction, immediately they made eye contact Mau ran away, Mike quickly dressed up and followed her in a hot chase but she was long gone before he could get down.
