New Year New Zoe

Hi guys. So sorry I didn’t write anything last week. I got caught up. Anyway, I’m here now and I’ll do better.

I had just started a new job at one of the biggest oil and gas companies in the world and I was the chief compliant officer. Now, I loved my job. Great pay, amazing work environment, plus, I was a boss. Thrilling, isn’t it? Considering how I left my former job, this was a great move and way better than the last job.

Tunde and I ended things between us. Amicably too. We both realised I couldn’t be his mistress forever, seeing as his wife was never going to divorce him. We remained very good friends and spent many of our free days together. Without the sex, of course. He was the one person I met when I needed counsel on anything and when he needed free legal advice, he came to me. Plus, he had given me an apartment in my name and two cars for which I was really grateful.

I still went on God awful dates which didn’t even lead to sex, thanks to Alex and Tunde who kept setting me up with their friends, against my protests, if I might add. All was well with the world, isn’t it?

Alex got herself a boyfriend. Shocking, isn’t it? And they’re serious too. But that wasn’t without its own drama.

Tunde’s wife came to Nigeria because she heard he had a mistress in Lagos and she wanted to know who it was. He did and it wasn’t a mistress. Just a steady fuck buddy. Chic didn’t even enjoy any benefits except getting money after each fuck.

The recent oil price spiral had forced many oil companies, foreign and indigenous to lay off a lot of its staff. Mine however, had a brilliant idea. Not only that, we, or should I say, I, made a bold move. One fraught with bitterness and revenge.

Thrilling, isn’t it? I’m just trying to wet your appetite. See you next week.
