Its the eve of the weekend, do i hear Yay ?
What have you guys been up to ? Do let me know, I need some excitement as I have being up to work and books, right now I feel like I haven’t slept for years (diary of a sleep addict).
Anyhoos, today’s post is about socks, I know right? Imagine a guy, nice outfit, nice face, nice everything, the only error, as in biggest error is the WHITE SOCKS. Unless you are Michael Jackson’s incarnate, its unacceptable to wear white socks with jeans, chinos or with suits #justsaying!!
White socks and formal / casual shoes don’t match.
Below are some bright coloured socks to brighten up your mood, socks are not so boring these days, they come in different designs, patterns, shapes and colours.
Black base, spots, stripes and paisley .

Baseless stripes and spots
Formal Plain purple
The more official rule on socks is that they should match the color of your pants, though preferably not the exact same shade unless, of course, you are wearing black in which case it’s okay. To quote Glenn O’Brien from GQ magazine, “. . .you will ultimately realize that beyond the valley of rules rises the mountain of aesthetics, the peak of which (if there is one) is always shrouded in beautiful clouds of various hues, many of them resembling certain of my more unusually hued socks.”
Although it should be obvious, white socks should be reserved for the gym.
What is the meaning of certain colors? What is their energy vibration and what subliminal messages are you sending when wearing them? Here are some hints which might be helpful:
Red – Dominance, power, confidence, attention, sexual energy;
Black – Elegance, authority, power, confidence;
White – Virtue, cleanliness;
Gray – Class, efficiency;
Blue – Trustworthiness, seriousness, intellectuality, calmness;
Burgundy – Passion, spirituality, extravagance;
Pink – Upbeat attitude, health;
Yellow – Alertness, optimism.
Hope you enjoyed this post, enjoy your weekend.
Peace and love
