3 Favorite New Shows

Some of our favorites shows are on break, but the networks, the genius networks have come up with new shows. I have seen a couple of them that I think are awesome….

1. Vegas

vegas-2012-503a15cb33ddd
This show is awesome, its about the early days of Las Vegas, before it became so big and all the casinos started up, its about the MOB from different parts of America opening up casinos in Vegas, cities such as Chicago and Milwakee. The lead characters include Michael Chiklis, the same guy that played the thing in Fantastic Four, also played the super power husband in No Ordinary Family. His character is Vincent Savino, the Mob guy that Chicago sends to head The Savoy. Savino always has constant confrontations with the cowboy sheriff called Ralph Lamb played by Dennis Quaid (Yes, the same movie star).

Its a really cool story, trust me… Its a power tussle between Savino and Lamb for who is really the toughest guy in town, other interesting character in the show also include the 2 deputies of Lamb who happen to be his family, Dickson, Ralph’s son and the other is Ralph’s younger brother, Jack who happens to be in love with Savino’s head of account, the beautiful Mia Russo played by Sarah Jones. Other interesting characters Jones (Damon Herriman), the gentle assassin, you need to watch that show, that guy looks troubled for real also Gainsley(Michael Ironside). Gainsley is the biggest opponent to Vincent Savino because he is son of Vegas, observing the trend of people from other cities coming to dominate his city. It is a blady good show, you should watch it. Season 1 is complete with 21 Episodes

2. DaVinci’s Demons

From the title of the show, I thought it will be dark and spooky but it isn’t…
It portrays the life of a young Leonardo Da Vinci in Florence. The character was played by Tom Riley and he was very brilliant, I enjoyed his acting.

The story evolves around his creative sides, his wild imagination, with an eidetic memory  and ambidextrous nature, ambidextrous meaning that he can do separate things on different hands, like write an essay on one and make a painting on the other hand. The biggest part of the first season is how he sneaked himself into the Medici Family.

Back then, the Medici family was the biggest family in Florence, even controlled the city. They were a banking institution back then more like the Rothschild, they were even bankers to the Vatican. Young Leonardo warmed his way into the Medici through the concubine of Lorenzo Medici (Elliot Cowan), the beautiful Lucrezia Donati (Laura Haddock). Lorenzo Medici is the head of the family which automatically makes his the Governor of the town. The plots and plays of this show makes it awesome as Leonardo battles the right hand man of the pope Count Riario, incredibly played by Blake Ritson. Much like Californication, Leonardo ends up sharing Lucrezia with Lorenzo who has been his biggest supporter in all of Italy even bigger than his father. Lorenzo made him his weapons dealer, defending Florence from the Vatican. For me, the highlight of the show was when Leonardo broke into the Pope’s swimming pool from underneath, moment of unbelievable brilliance.

It also chronicles the activities of the early Catholic church, but not as bad as Borgias portrays them…Awesome show! Mwaaahhh I absolutely love it!

3. Vikings

Is it me or are the old school shows super interesting.

Vikings goes back in time to explore the lives of the Norsemen of early medieval Scandinavia. It particularly follows the exploit of a legendary Viking chieftain Ragnar Lodbrok played by Travis Fimmel. He was the pioneer who first dared to raid Britain. Ragnar always believed that there were lands to the west while their king believed it was a waste of time but Ragnar was able to convince some of his fellow soldier to sail west and when they did, they hit jackpot.

When they arrived the strange land, they hit the church where they killed almost everyone and carted away with their gold. When they arrived back home, the King Horik played by Donal Logue took all their lootings from them and buried it into the ground. Ragnar dint bulge but instead challenge the king to a fight which the King lost and installed Ragnar as the new King.

A lot of twist and turn with Ragnar, he took a priest as slave when they raded the Church, the priest thought him things about Britain, so the rade continued until the King of Britain agreed to pay them off on a certain date then he went back on his words. Can you imagine going back on your words with barbarians?

All in all, its a really awesome show, I can guarantee you.

There are other shows like Bates Motel and Hannibal that I like but these 3 are the absolute fantastic ones that I have tremendously enjoyed and for what its worth, SUITS will be back July 16.
