Best day ever!
That has been what has been on repeat since Lily first kissed me, I’ve been feeling mushy like melting marshmallows. The day started like every other day with me dying inside as I worked beside the goddess that is Lily, she was so close but felt like she was on the opposite side of the world.
I couldn’t believe how things suddenly changed because she confronted me, I’ve never been so happy about being confronted. We have spent at least an hour making out on the couch making me feel like a teenager again and what made it even awesome was I loved the pace things were going, we both relaxed and into each other enough not to rush it.
“Why are you smiling” Lily stopped nuzzling on my shoulder to ask
“Do you even gotta ask, I’m happy, baby?” I said smiling wider
She smiled at me and adjusted her position on my lap
“Is it because of this?” she said before kissing my neck
“Or this” she added planting kisses all over my face and neck
I couldn’t stop laughing, I was so happy; I wanted to hold her like that forever. With the excitement came the fear, the fear that I would lose the person that makes me happy.
“Are you okay?” Lily asked looking concerned
“Oh no I’m great, my mind just drifted off to a dark place” I replied
“Would you like something to drink?” she asked while getting off me
I giggled amazed at sweet Lily was to over me a drink at my place
“I should be offering you a drink, wait here I’ll be right back,” I said
I dashed towards the mini bar feeling like I was walking on clouds, I dug around for the most expensive bottle of champagne I had gotten when I first got here. I picked up two flutes and rushed back to Lily. She was focused on her phone when I walked up but she perked up when she saw me.
“Oh champagne, fancy,” she said taking a flute from me
“Yes, it’s a moment worth celebrating” I replied as I dropped my glass on the table.
I twisted the foil off and positioned it to pop the cork, I looked towards Lily and her eyes shone as they focused on me.
I opened the drink with a loud pop making her squeal in excitement, I poured her some of the bubbly liquid before pouring some myself. I raised my glass wondering what to toast to
“Let’s toast to art and happiness,” she said making my heart melt more for her
How could I not fall for such a smart gorgeous woman?
“That’s perfect, to art and happiness,” I said and we clink glasses before sipping our drinks.
Work and everything else was forgotten as we drank and made out, her phone would beep occasionally but she wasn’t paying much attention to it which made me feel so special.
We decided to Netflix and chill which was basically us playing background movies as we made out on the couch, it all felt so sweet and wholesome.
I wanted it to last forever but you know what they say about time running fast when you’re having fun, it was soon time for her to leave. I hinted she spent the night but she said something about expecting some guests which I guess was her sweet way if not mentioning her boyfriend was coming over.
I drove her to get her car and her stuff before hugging her for such a long time, she jokingly reminded me that we are still working together and I would definitely see her the next day but the next day felt like it was ages away.
I let her go and watched her drive away, it took so much strength not to drive after her.
After finishing the remaining bottle of champagne I wasn’t in a celebratory mood anymore, I couldn’t get Lily’s boyfriend out of my head; he was the only obstacle in the way of my complete happiness.
I picked up my phone and opened Instagram, I knew Lily never posted him but I was hoping I could find him and his flaws. I needed to find something that would make him unfit to be with her.
I couldn’t remember his name, I think it was Richie something.
After scrolling through her followers I finally found him with the username RichieRich; so corny.
I didn’t think it was possible to hate him even more but I did, I tried to figure out how someone as awesome and sophisticated as Lily ended up with a corny spoiled brat like Richie.
With every post of his, I hated him more. I remembered the first day we met, I had never been so jealous of anyone as I was at that very moment. Lily had her lovely thighs wrapped around him as she moaned his annoying name, I chugged the remaining liquor in the bottle to drive away the awful image of that day.
After sulking and complaining about how unfair the universe was I decided to come up with plans on all the ways I could neutralize him and get him out of the picture so that me and Lily can finally have our happy ever after.
