My 5 favourite shows

Hello Mortals,

Its been raining all morning, everywhere is cold, this is the perfect weather for 12 people,do the maths whichever way you want.

I am excited to write this post because I love tv shows, I watch different types ranging from Action, police stories, comedy, I haven’t  been watching medical dramas, saw a couple of episodes of House, I wasnt really moved, I know you love that show but it just dint work for me. I don’t also do a lot of Law shows until I saw Suits, that show blew my mind, I loved every minute of it, now am looking for the full seasons of Boston legal.

Castle

I have been watching this particular show from the inception, it’s about the partnership between a detective called Kate Beckett and a mystery writer called Rick Castle. Rick Castle is a like a kid in a grown man’s body, he’s excited by the idea of solving crimes, he always tries to consider how the murder would have happened as a mystery writer which some of the time is true.

The whole fun about the show is that there is this uneasiness between Castle & Beckett, it seems like the both of them are in love with each other but no one can come out with his/her feelings, they usually have this long gaze into each other’s eyes. Then towards the end of Season 3, Beckett gets shot in the chest, as expected, Castle is there holding her in his arms as it looks like life is slowing leaving her body and then BAM! He says those magic words, I love you, Kate.

At this point, anyone who is conversant with this show will feel emotion gushing, long story short she dint die, quite disappointing, isn’t it? After she recovered she claimed that she has no memory of what happened immediately after the shooting meanwhile she confessed to her therapist that she completely remembers everything. I absolutely love the show, the way they solve the murders are fascinating and enjoyable. Castle and Beckett finally kissed at the end of Season 4, I still can’t believe we had to wait for 4 seasons for them to kiss.

I recommend it.

Leverage

This show has a British version,  its called Hustle. A lot more people are conversant with the British version. The difference between Hustle and Leverage is that Leverage relies more on computers, hacking and disabling securities while Hustle relies mainly on wits and the mark’s greed. The most popular of the crew of Hustle is Michael Stone also known as Mickey Bricks. You know someone who’s nickname is that? This is the original Mickey Bricks. Michael Stone can literally sell ice to an Eskimo.

I have been able to pick up a few things from the show, in terms of confidence and dressing, the clothing in that show especially Michael’s are top quality. Michael was so badass that in an episode he dressed like a Rear Admiral and still got away with it in a military vessel. He’s the king of deception. Why am I talking so much about Hustle instead of Leverage abi, sorry, I digress a lot.

Leverage is just so on point but the end of Season 4 dint do it for me, this is where some bad guy they conned earlier,he killed Nathan Ford’s father. By the way, Nathan Ford is the super smart guy in leverage, the brains they call him. He’s the supremo in the league, with other teams members such as Parker who is an incredible thief, Sophie the grifter, she can make you to give her anything she wants by just spending a little of your time with her and lastly Eliot Spencer, the hitter, he’s the fighter of the group. This guy is like Jackie Chan not Jet Li, he gets beaten but then still wins anyway, what I like about him is the confidence he has when fighting, very cool.

Game of Thrones

Do I need to say anything at all about this show? Is there anyone out there not watching this show? You’re on a loonnnnnnng thing! Not short of awesome. I have been watching this show since right from the first episode, It’s about a kingdoms, 7 kingdoms actually; The King of the 7 kingdoms died while hunting and its time for a new king, meanwhile the king’s son that is now crowned king
is the bastard son, the boy is the product of the incest of the Queen and her brother. The Queen’s family are the Lanisters, one quote I learnt from the show is that a Lanister always pay his debt. It was quite shocking for me when Ned Stark played by Sean Bean was beheaded in Season 1.

I thought the show was gonna end there but I thought wrong, the show just became a lot more interesting as the dwarf became the new boss, super smart imp played by Peter Dinklage. This show you just need to watch. The schemes from the other 7 kingdoms on how to become the king, the drama is really nice. This show has won many awards. Gaan watch it!

Person of Interest

Ever since Jim Caviezel did passion of the Christ, he career has sort of been on the down but this show just brought it back into the limelight. Jim plays John Reese, a rogue ex-CIA sort of bodyguard. At the beginning of the show, some homeless guy is been harassed inside the train, all of a sudden, the homeless guy beats up the thugs in a neat, direct and orderly fashion. My mouth was literally ajar, a homeless guy beating people up military style?

He was picked up by the police, someone pays for his release and then he gets to visit the person who paid for his bail. It was paid for by one I.T billionaire who wants to recruit him for a job, then the story begins of how the US govt built a machine after Sept 11 to monitor people, listen to their phone conversations, read their text messages, analyse and determine if it’ll be classified as terror or not, the machine submits the terror list to NSA or some other security body but as effective as the machine is, it also picks up common crimes on the street that the NSA isn’t interested in.

The billionaire then explains how he built a backdoor into the system to get out the common crimes which it spits out by giving their social security number of the people involved. Maybe due to the guilty conscience, the Billionaire recruits John Reese to take care of the crime before it happens. The main selling point of this show is the ability to solve crime before it happens something like what Keifer Sutherland is doing with Touch.

The way John Reese does his fighting/shooting is what intrigues me, very confident and fearless,  he never really smiles, very serious look on his face, the show just started and its been receiving awards already.
Suits

This is my first legal tv show, I have never been a fan of legal shows but this one is different, it’s a case of a lawyer and his assistant, the lawyer is called Harvey Specter, his suits are just out of this world, I think they intentionally called it Suits because of this guy. He’s slick, smart, good-looking, cocky and very intelligent, I can go on and on about him, Harvey Specter is played by Gabriel Macht who I would like to recommend for the new 007.

The show is also about his assistant called Michael Ross played by Patrick J Adams, he’s also very smart, plus he has an eidetic memory which means he can remember anything he reads. The bad thing here is that he can’t be a lawyer, before been an fake associate with Harvey, his past life was writing law school exams for people, he was caught once and then subsequently banned from writing the exam. He gets into the job interview after almost been nabbed for selling weed, he runs through the hall into a Harvard Law student interview.

He has no choice than to do the interview which he passed but the error in the whole equation is that he never finished from Harvard Law school but Harvey employs him anyway. The show is very nice. You should watch it
