Its quite incredible for anyone to win an award 4 times in a row in any sport or academics or any sphere of human endeavor, it takes unrivalled brilliance for anyone to accomplish anything like that.
Lionel Messi last night won the World footballer of the year again with 41.6% of the votes followed by Cristiano Ronaldo with 23.68% and Andres Iniesta with 10.91%. As a Barcelona fan, I went out drinking last night to celebrate it, although I had a feeling that Ronaldo might win, the truth is I wanted him to win.
Of recent, I started feeling bad for Ronaldo, some of us don’t understand what he feels when he plays so fantastic only to be second to the diminutive Leo Messi. It can be painful I can assure you.
Another reason is his treatment with his team, Iker Casillas voted for Sergio Ramos then Ronaldo. Anyone who knows football or even has any idea about football will know Sergio Ramos can never win this Ballon D’or. The vote for him from Casillas was out of hate or spite. Hence, I felt for Ronaldo more, all the things he does is for his club and himself and his own team mates couldn’t vote for him which is something that would never happen in Barcelona.
If I was him, I would go home, drink myself to stupor and start talking to PSG, what else is left for him at Real Madrid? Its a show of shame.

I found Messi’s outfit funny though, it looked like something PSY will wear, some called it OPPA MESSI STYLE, people dug through the archives and found out that Maradona had worn the same outfit some years ago.

Messi’s form was impeccable last year, he broke several records last year including Guinness Book of Record, a feat that would remain unbroken for a while. Not taking anything away from Ronaldo’s brilliant season as well, wrestling Barcelona for La Liga title last season was phenomenal for them.
