Aisha was relieved Sunday when it rained and her husband’s tennis game was canceled. Her body ached and she needed a break from Ikenna. She and her husband ate breakfast at home and read the Sunday newspaper.
After lunch, her husband broke the news about his decision to join the guys on a tennis junket.
“There will be eight of us and we will be leaving Thursday evening and returning on the following Tuesday. We are enrolling for a popular competition,” he told her.
Aisha was surprised since her husband normally didn’t go on these junkets. “Well if that’s what you want to do that’s fine. I may go to the beach for the weekend then.”
“Good I’m glad you approve. You should go to the beach and spare no expense stay at a good place,” he offered.
“Thank you, I will. I think that I will stay at Lekki,” she accepted.
Aisha spent the rest of the day thinking about spending four days at the beach. She contemplated inviting Ikenna but she wondered if she could survive four days with him. Besides she was a little upset about being called his bitch.
She opted to go alone and if she got lonely she could always call him. Aisha had no idea how her four days would turn out but the last thing that she would be was lonely.
