Something happened to me last week
There’s this friend I’ve had for years
He is like a best friend
We had not seen each other before
He lives in Abuja
He came to Lagos last week for vacation
I already knew he was crushing on me low key
I sha told him nothing could ever happen between us
And he respected it and never made any more advances
He is a very good guy, smart, kind and sweet
I valued the friendship that much
I liked him a lot too, if I wasn’t in a relationship, things may have been different
He came to Lagos, I was naturally excited
I was happy I’d finally get to see him
His friend was having a small party at his residence

The party attendees were mostly people that they schooled together
I came, he was very happy to see me
I met his friends and other friends

We sat on the bed and talked and talked
I discovered he was even more handsome in real life, even more fun
We were talking, we discussed everything from Buhari to BBN
