I, personally, look just like my dad with botox and a wig on, but there are a lot of celebs out their whose apples (read: babies) fell a colossal distance from the tree.
Below are a selection of celebrity kids who don’t really look anything like their famous parents, and in a lot of circumstances, it’s probably for the best. I mean, no woman wants to look like Ron Perlman, amirite?
1. Eddie Murphy and Bria and Shayne Murphey
Eddie Murphy’s stunning daughters share his strong bone structure, and although their father is a pretty attractive man, I doubt he could rock lingerie in the way these gals do.
2. Ron Howard and Bryce Dallas Howard
Bryce Dallas Howard might have inherited her love of acting from her famous father, but that’s where the similarities end really.
3. Sandra Bernhard and Cicely Bernhard
Cicely might be Sandra Bernhard’s biological daughter (Sandra is in a same sex relationship, but she carried the baby), but they aren’t exactly two peas in a pod. Cicely inherited her mother’s curly locks and not much else from the looks of things.
4. Steve Buscemi and Lucian Buscemi
Mocked in many a meme for his unusual looks, Buscemi’s son is a lot more conventionally attractive, although he isn’t doing himself any favors with that weak tash!
5. Sylvester Stallone and Sistine Stallone
Sylvester Stallone’s daughter Sistine is a model and she has the looks that the job description requires! It’s hard to see any resemblance between her and her famous father, but she is the spitting image of her mother, Jennifer Flavin.
6. Maggie Smith and Toby Stephens
This stately acting family might share a taste for period dramas (with Maggie Smith slaying in Downton Abbey and Toby Stephens sizzling as Mr. Darcy), but you would never guess this pair were mother and son unless someone told you first.
7. Ron Perlman and Blake Perlman
Ron Perlman’s stunning daughter Blake inherited her mother’s skin tone and delicate bone structure and I’m sure she is thankful for that every single day. No offense Ron, but I’ve seen you in drag and it was terrifying.
8. Bono and Eve Hewson
Bono’s daughter Eve Hewson chose a career in acting, despite her famous parent’s desire to keep her out of the spotlight, and it’s easy to see how her classic Hollywood looks have landed her plenty of period dramas. Although she has a similar nose and eyes to her rocker father, the rest of Hewson’s face is all her own.
9. Andy Garcia and Alessandra Garcia
Andy Garcia’s daughter’s delicate, rounded facial features are a world away from her father’s chiseled, rugged looks.
10. Eric Roberts and Emma Roberts
Eric Roberts’s daughter, Emma, looks a lot more like her famous aunty, which isn’t too surprising considering she’s a woman! With different colored eyes and a wildly dissimilar jawline, the only thing that this father and daughter share is beautiful, thick hair.
11. Danny DeVito and Lucy DeVito
Although she has a passing resemblance to her funny-man father (including in height), you probably wouldn’t match these two as a dad and daughter combo in a police line up.
12. Melanie Griffith and Dakota Johnson
I was surprised when I learned Dakota Johnson was Melanie Griffith’s daughter, mainly because they don’t really look alike. Although they share an oval face shape and deep blue eyes, their features are chalk and cheese.
